US PO Post Office Cast Iron Bee Hive Country Store String Ball Holder Tool Twine

  

A vintage bee-hive style twine ball holder. These would have been on a store counter or shelf to hold twine for wrapping packages or goods. Bottom comes off with a simple 1/3 turn. Some mild oxidation overall, has about 65% or so of the original finish, measures about 4-1/2" tall and 6-1/2" across the bottom.
