Original 1928 Cast Iron Hubley Police Harley Davidson Parcel Post Motorcycle

  

Another great Hubley motorcycle from my "PA TOYS OF TIMES PAST" collection. Paul was an avid collector in toy trains, especially Marklin and other European train Marques forming what is arguably one of the finest European train collections in the country. And eventually got into the tin and cast iron varieties.

As you will see here in all my listings coming up. I try to supply items that are of the rarer variety and with the provenance that makes these of a higher price than normally seen. Here is one of two of my quality cast iron antique Original 1928 Cast Iron Hubley Police Harley Davidson Parcel Post Motorcycles. This one is also all original and all the tires do have flat spots.

Marked Hubley on the sidewall. Decent colors, not faded, but does have missing paint here and there on both cycle and driver. Original blue cast iron driver and original back door, stamped 1742, as many are replacements. Box marked "Hubley" and stamped 1741 inside the right side back door.

Handlebars are also original and tight. Harley Davidson tank sticker is mostly missing but still you can make out what it is. Has original rear wheel clicker which a lot are always missing, see pic. 9 1/2" long by 5 1/2" wide. Very rarely do you see one up for sale in this shape at a very decent price.
