We honestly can't say for a fact what these were originally for! But what we can say is that you may go the rest of your life and never get the shot at another pair.

These came from an estate in Eastern Pennsylvania. They were definitely mounted outdoors and have seen many, many decades of exposure, leading to the awesome patina they have now. Each horse head measures about 30 in tall from the bottom of the plaque edge to the top of the ears by 14 in wide by 21 inch deep.

Each weighs around 76 lb. These would look beautiful at the entryway of any home or stable, as decor on any porch or building anywhere!
